Ingredients:
Gram flour/ Besan : 1 cup
Wheat flour : 1 cup
Turmeric powder : 1/4 tsp
Red chili powder : 1/2 tsp
Carom seeds : 1/2 tsp
Asafoetida : 1 pinch
Ginger paste : 1 tsp
Green chili, chopped : 1
Onion, chopped : 1
Kasoori methi : 1 tbsp
Oil : 2 tbsp
Salt : as per taste
Method :
- In a big bowl add wheat flour and gram flour.
- Add salt, oil and all the spices.
- Add chopped green chili, onion, ginger paste and kasoori methi and mix well.
- Add water and knead a smooth dough.
- Cover and rest aside for 15 min.
- Make equal size balls from dough and roll to make medium thick roti.
- Place roti over medium hot tawa and cook it from both side with the help of oil until golden brown spot appear.
- Serve hot.
